Bomb after bomb this is how Apple dropped the last three iOS updates to the jailbreak community. To be more specific iOS 8.1.3, iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.3 patched all exploits which were used by TaiG 8.2, Pangu 8.3 and PP jailbreak teams for their respective jailbreak 8.2/8.3 tools. For some of you these teams don’t look too familiar or wondering where are the old teams that used to create jailbreak tools like team evad3rs. Well we don’t know but last year out of nowhere we started seeing a rise of some Chinese jailbreak teams who started giving quite fast jailbreak capability for every iPhone, iPad and iPod in order to get cydia 8.2.
Just like the old iOS 8 jailbreak tools these tools will download cydia 8.2 after the jailbreak 8.2 procedure will finish. So with these updates for iOS there is no way you can jailbreak, for now. So if you are considering into upgrading to the latest iOS I highly recommend you don’t, because you can say goodbye to your jailbreak 8.3 and cydia download 8.3.
In some recent tweets of a well know contributor of the jailbreak community MuscleNerd suggests not to upgrade “Jailbreakers should stay clear of today’s 8.3 iOS release! Bug fixes listed at //support.apple.com/en-us/HT204245. So if you think you got stuck with iOS 7 or any other iOS 8 version till 8.1.3 don’t cry, consider yourself lucky.
In some recent updates TaiG team said that work in progress for an iOS 8.2 untethered jailbreak tool so cross your fingers and let’s hope for the best that soon we will see an untethered jailbreak 8.3.
If you haven’t jailbroken you’re iPhone or iPad and have an earlier than iOS 8.1.3 go ahead and download Pangu tool 8.2 beta for your iOS. Follow the on screen instructions and you will have a jailbroken iDevice in no time. Keep in mind that there are some versions of Pangu that are in Mandarin. If you want to consider installing Cydia first check if Pangu already downloaded cydia. Only early versions did not come bundled with Cydia. After cydia download when you run for the first time Cydia let it upgrade its components.
